Laura + John | Glasshouse Morningside Auckland
Dove Myer Rose Garden Wedding Ceremony + Glasshouse Morningside Wedding Venue
Auckland bride and groom Laura and John were married beneath the boughs of a mature tree in the Parnell Rose Gardens. The natural setting was the perfect choice for the couple. John proposed with a bespoke ‘bush ring’ while they were tramping in Fiordland, by the beautiful Lake Minerva.
The bridal party and guests sheltered under the shade of the large trees during the open-air Auckland wedding ceremony. Then afterwards, Laura and John wanted to spend as much time as possible with their guests, so they only had a short bridal party photo session before heading to the Glasshouse in Morningside for their wedding reception.
The Glasshouse is one of my favourite Auckland wedding reception venues – it has an amazing modern aesthetic created by a 12-foot high glass ceiling, lush greenery and cedar accents. It is a stunning place to share your wedding day with friends and family and looks fabulous in wedding photos.
The couple planned their Auckland wedding in a very short time, but every single detail of their wedding was perfect and I am in love with the colours they chose for the bridal party and their wedding flowers.
Some special details were the Danish wedding cake Laura and John chose to honour John’s Danish father, and they also celebrated with a Danish tradition of Schnapps shots.
